About Moritz Gerlach

Right after high school, I deliberately chose a dual study program at a global player in the semiconductor industry. My goal: to understand how a company truly operates – not just in theory, but in real life. Rotating through various departments, I gained valuable hands-on experience and quickly discovered my passion for data and its impact on business decisions. During my time in Controlling, I realized how powerful data-driven processes can be. I worked on analyzing and improving workflows, helping to create decision-making structures based on reliable data – not assumptions. What truly motivated me was seeing these solutions come to life, adopted by stakeholders, and creating measurable impact. To effectively tell stories through data, I built strong skills in Excel, SQL, Power Query, and ETL tools. I applied these both independently and in collaboration with IT experts to automate processes and unlock insights that drive business forward.
