About Morten A.

I am an entrepreneur and investor with a proven track record in launching and nurturing startups since 1991. My most notable achievement is founding Imatis in 2007. Under my leadership, Imatis rapidly secured over 80% of the e-health patient logistics market in Norwegian hospitals and extended its innovative technology to municipal healthcare systems. We achieved significant successes in Helse-Vest, Helse-Midt, and Helse-Sørøst, focusing on mobility and health logistics. This success culminated in 2021 with a lucrative exit when DNV Group acquired 80% of Imatis, benefiting over 100 shareholders. I hold an M.Sc. from the Norwegian Technical University. My career started as a technical repairman in the process industry, providing me with a unique mix of practical and theoretical insights. In 1991, I founded Cardiac, focusing on the oil, gas, and process industries. This company evolved into Baze Technology, a now thriving enterprise with a global client base. Concurrently, I launched Imatis e-health. In Imatis, I have held various roles, from CEO to CTO, overseeing product development, strategy, project management, technical architecture and board member. In the past seven years, I served as CEO, transitioning to an advisory role following the acquisition in 2023. Additionally, I am the lead technical architect for an international cancer pathway project funded by EU-Horizon lead by Riksholspitalet in Oslo. I have been responsible for numerous substantial sales of our e-health solutions to hospitals and municipality regions in Norway and several other countries. Most of these sales were secured through public tender processes, and I have led the negotiating and written several complex bids in Nordic and a few international with high success rate. DNV Imatis have been involved in several innovation project with customers. As the chairman of Palla Pharma AS, I oversee the production of pain relief medications and medical raw materials for the global market. After acquiring the company from an Australian bankruptcy estate late in 2022, we embarked on an extensive restructuring to ensure profitability. Furthermore, I am a board member at Skagerrak Saving Bank, playing a role in the merger of Kragerø and Bamble Savings Banks, and the subsequent formation of one of Norway's largest Eika banks through the union of Skagerrak, Larvik Savings Bank, and Andebu Savings Bank. Our focus is on serving coastal communities around Skagerrak coast line. My experience also includes previous board positions in startups like Nordisk Energikontroll and Posicom.
