About Morten Flarup

ORGANISING AND COORDINATION My current and previous jobs have given me experience in creating and maintaining transparent processes in order to form the best possible base for, across divisions and disciplines, completing the right tasks on time. Within organising and coordination my experience includes supervising progress of parallel multidisciplinary projects, preparing meeting material and draft decisions, and being at the centre of processes involving many actors from state, municipality and NGO level. I began my career serving ministers and permanent secretaries to the ministers in the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Justice before moving on to the educational sector. From 2016-2020 I worked as an advisor for the directors of University College Copenhagen within the fields of Ressources (economy, buildings, HR etc.) and Further Education. Since 2020 I am working as a political consultant/advisor at the Teachers' Union for Danish Independent Schools. I work with day to day political developments, internal strategy compliance, members analysis and organizing, communication, drafting material for the board and follow-up on board decision). RELATIONS By doing social work in Chile, working as an intern at the Danish Embassy in Buenos Aires, and through various travels around the world I acquired an understanding of and interest in different cultures and the ability to, socially and professionally, get along with people of different backgrounds. This enables me to create and maintain relations across cultures as well as disciplines, which is essential when working in projects involving many actors.
