About Morten Simonsen
MSc. in Engineering Design and Applied Mechanics from the Technical University of Denmark(DTU). The past seven years I have been working as structural engineer in the component test department at Siemens Gamesa, where my main tasks are to design and structurally verify full scale test benches for testing various component for the turbine. From my role at siemens gamesa I have obtained competences within concept design, design for manufacturing and structural analysis using FEM. In my studies i specialized within the field of dynamics of machinery and obtained knowledge of vibrations analysis and tribology as well as data sampling and processing. the theory was supplied with practical experience from several experimental projects. Furthermore I have had courses within product development and documentation, design for robustness and conceptualization My Journey have given me a broad skill set within mechanical design and analysis with a deep focus on structural analysis and testing.
