An industrious Backend Software Engineer and problem solver at heart who thrives at the intersection of technology and leadership. I enjoy designing scalable architectures while nurturing high-performing global teams. Over the years, I have led teams of talented engineers across three business product domains at GfK. Together, we have driven impactful digital transformations. One example is building the GFK newron platform, which hosts a plethora of propositions that align with our business goals. Seeing how our collaborative efforts translate into these transformations is incredibly rewarding. One of my proudest achievements was securing a 45% workforce cost savings. I achieved this by expanding engineering operations in Kuala Lumpur, Pune and Chennai, building engineering capabilities, and fostering innovation. I also accelerated MVP development, launching gfknewron Retail MVP two months earlier than planned. This early launch improved sales teams’ ability to secure millions in contract renewals. We successfully delivered a commercial launch within nine months, meeting the initial schedule. Notable projects include hands-on designing a pluggable backend architecture for the UK Data Archive and centralising research data across 23 EU countries. Through this initiative, I streamlined workflows and reduced onboarding costs by 85%. I applied Plug-in Architecture patterns with Spring Framework Postgres, Elasticsearch and React (searchkit.co), demonstrating my passion for solving complex problems with elegant, modern tech-stack solutions. An MBA in Technology Management complements my technical expertise. It enables me to bridge engineering and business strategy, ensuring innovation aligns with broader company objectives. Outside of work, I am a dedicated mentor and adventurer. I enjoy exploring new technologies, meaningful conversations over coffee, hiking with my family, and designing homebrew games with my kids.
