About Moses Merisier

Growing up, I always had a passion for great communication; was always very active with extra-curricular activities; & very well known for recruiting and promoting community and international affairs. My most effective form of communication (besides face-to-face conversations) was traditional footwork such as; manual flier distribution, door-knocking, & cold-calling. As communication globalization advanced throughout the years, I transitioned from street work to screen work, continuing my mission to get the words out! Currently, I service the Communications department at PSCCUNY, where I have held and hold a key role in communications and organizing for 6 years during a period of technological evolution. I am responsible for updating & maintaining the company’s website and social media pages, assisting in designing the homepage features, uploading the company’s monthly newspaper editions/media and press outreach, assisting in development of a consistent graphic identity for company publications, creating and maintaining photographic & video archives. My professional background through my employment is only one factor of my unique experience that sets me apart from tOutside of my employment, for several years, I have been essential & actively involved in bridging communication in a plethora of activities/causes (political, social justice, entertainment, media, mentoring). My enthusiasm was immediately noticed & over the years, many opportunities became available to me such as: producing a talk show on internet radio, discussing various topics concerning men regarding their families and communities, interviewing a wide range of high-profile celebrities, community leaders, and politicians, and acquiring press credentials over the years covering a variety of high-profile events such as press conferences, rallies, & national film festivals. I was contracted as lead marketer for CUNYs Got Talent annual show & currently manage social media pages for small community groups & organizations and self-starting entrepreneurs and entertainers. At this point, some have grown to hundreds of thousands of followers – directly contributing to the successful growth of their talents and businesses. Over the years, the growth of my daily activities and projects increasingly formed a direct reliance on the effectiveness of great digital communications skills, especially due to the COVID Pandemic. During this time, I received confirmation that pursuing higher education in digital communication is my calling and it is imperative to both my professional and personal goals!
