Mosima Mphela is a Water Resource Scientist, Specialising with Water Treatment, Management, Conservation and Blue and Green Drop implementation. 2010 - Graduated with Bachelor of Science (Microbiology and Biochemistry) then started Powerplant Chemistry training at Eskom Duvha Power Station which gave her foundational knowledge in Water Chemistry, Laboratory and chemical management. 2011-Appointed as Senior Technician (Water Management) at Kusile Power Station responsible for Raw, Demineralised, Potable Water Accounting using Flow Metering. Blue and Green Drop Program Administrator. 2016 - Graduated with Management Program at UNiSA SBL 2017 - Accredited by SACNASP as Professional Water Resources Scientist 2018- Appointed Senior Supervisor for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants at Matimba Power Station responsible for Supervising Water treatment Process Controllers and Operations for both Water and Sewage Plants. She also had a duty to ensure that both plants are operated in a safe and sustainable manner. Appointed as Contract Manager managing Water Treatment Chemicals, Auxiliary Cooling Chemicals, Provision of Laboratory Services and Management and Operations for Sewage Treatment Plant Contracts. 2019 - Graduated with Postgraduate diploma in Water Management at Monash South Africa 2020-2021 - Enrolled for Contract Management Development Programme and acquired Vast knowledge in Projects and Contract Management for NEC 3 (SC,TSC,ECC and PSC) 2023 - Classified by DWS as Class VI Process Controller for Both Water and Sewage Treatment plants 2023 - Seconded to Eskom Research and Innovation Centre and Her focus area ranging from Surface and Groundwater Monitoring including Catchments that feeds Eskom powerplants, Animal interactions with transmission lines Research Leader, Bio-Monitoring assessments for Water Resources surrounding all Eskom Stations. Appointed Champion for Blue and Green Drop Programmes implementation at all Eskom Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. Responsible for Plants and PCs classification with Department of Water and Sanitation as per Regulation 3630 and assisting Stations Water Management Officers with IRIS system Navigation and compilation of Water Safety Plan, Wastewater Risk Abatement Plan and Process Audit. 2024 - Started Master of Water Engineering specialising with Water Quality Engineering at University of Cape Town completing 2025. 2025/01/01 - Process Support Manager at Silulumanzi 2025/07/01 - Water Services Division Manager at LLM Water is precious, let's conserve it, for sustainable future.
