About Mouche Phillips

Experienced executive arts specialist with a 30-year history working in the performing arts industry. Background in producing major theatre work, short film, TVC's, large art shows, live music events and venue management. Recent focus has been in festival business development and in the curation of special art projects including NYE regional outdoor events. In the last few years I had the opportunity to be involved in corporate giving, creating strategic impact programs for small to mid-size businesses in the areas of literacy, Indigenous education, mental health, and animal conservation. In 2020 I received an emerging producers grant via Screen Australia to develop film and tv content and was then invited to step into a new role required in film and tv consultancy as an Intimacy Co-Ordinator for Stan TV. In 2021 I returned to partnership management for the British Council to deliver their UK|AU cultural exchange season for 2021-22 and also for Sydney Festival. Currently in the role of Executive Director and Chair for the Art Byron Festival, the long overdue Arts Biennale for the Northern Rivers on Bunjalung Country and film project development while studying a Masters of Business Administration at Sydney University.
