The journey began with a strong academic foundation—starting with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours in Accounting & Finance), followed by a Master of Commerce, and culminating in an MBA in Finance from K J Somaiya Institute of Management. During this period, Moumita successfully balanced academic commitments with professional responsibilities, working as a Senior Content Developer while pursuing post-graduate studies. This phase not only strengthened core skills in written communication and market positioning but also instilled a disciplined, multi-tasking work ethic. The transition into finance was marked by active involvement during the MBA program. As Editor-in-Chief of Finstreet, the finance committee, Moumita led the conceptualization and publication of The Finstreet Journal (weekly journal) and Finly (monthly magazine), covering global financial developments, equity market movements, and profiles of financial leaders. This role reflected both a keen interest in capital markets and the ability to simplify complex financial narratives for a wider audience. Internships further reinforced this trajectory. At Paterson Securities, Moumita conducted detailed equity research and DCF valuations of companies in the oil & gas sector—including Reliance Industries, ONGC, GAIL, and BPCL—while also performing index analysis using Sharpe and Sortino ratios. At Finlatics, she managed a simulated equity portfolio that ranked in the top 5% based on performance and reporting quality. Currently, Moumita serves as a Treasures Service Relationship Manager at DBS Bank India Limited, engaging high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) and supporting their banking, investment, and compliance needs. Within a short span, Moumita has contributed significantly in business value - across various products - while also activating dormant relationships, ensuring regulatory adherence, and generating new elite HNI leads through events and referrals.
