About MOUMITA PAL

I have a double master's- MA in Anthropology from the University of Hyderabad in 2019 and MA in Gender Studies from B.R.Ambedkar University Delhi 2023. As a part of my master's research training I am equipped with practical knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. As a part of my training in Anthropology I am well-versed in primary data collection surveys case studies coding and transcription. As a part of my research thesis for Gender Studies I am exposed to working with secondary data and monographs. I approached the same through narrative analysis discourse analysis and feminist framework and methodology. Hence my interests lie in social justice and feminist leadership responsibilities along with experience in working with state government conducting workshops and designing manuals and research tools gained through my master's degrees. Also I am keen on working with food histories and their retellings (Food Anthropology) that trace the class caste and gender struggles. I am eager to work with the food industry to re-design menus to bring in non-mainstream local cuisines that are easily forgotten from the gastronomy of India. I love reading during the holidays as it is a time of leisure and festivities. I love experimenting with flavours and textures so I roam around the cities I live in to find both the traditional cuisine as well as the modern spin-off of the dishes the city has to offer. Along with that I am immensely drawn to cooking and baking at home as a stress buster as well. I am a good swimmer and can be oddly funny at times!
