Ms. Sarkar is currently working as Power System Engineer focussed on electrical design of offshore wind farms in Ørsted Wind Power A/S. Her expertise includes- RMS & EMT Modelling: Wind Turbine Generators (WTG), Dynamic Reactive Compensators (DRC), Synchronous Condensers (SynCons)- Dynamic Analysis : Frequency & voltage stability, Fault Ride Through (FRT), protection & insulation coordination, controller tuning- Steady State & Quasi-Steady State Analysis : Small signal stability, contingency analysis, congestion management, harmonic stability, converter stability- Tools : PowerFactory, Simulink, PSCAD, RTDS/RSCAD, Python, AutoCAD- Probabilistic analysis, reliability & availability analysis. Previously, she completed her PhD from the department of Wind Energy, Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 2020. Her PhD thesis was titled "Modelling of wind power under stressed voltage conditions". The PhD research was focused on proactive support from wind power plants during stressed voltage conditions utilizing wind power plant capabilities to alleviate long-term voltage stability. She obtained Master in Power System Engineering from DTU Electrical Engineering in 2016. Her master thesis was titled "Investigation of distance relay performance for blackout prevention in low inertia electric power systems". She has previously worked in software development at Tata Consultancy Services Limited where she was awarded "ILP Top Performer Award" for outstanding performance in outstanding performance in Java/J2EE at Initial Learning Program. She is a member of Power and Energy Society and CIGRE.
