About Moustafa Aboelnaga

I’m a hands-on engineering leader with a strong background in backend development, DevOps, SRE, AI and cloud platforms. I have led engineering teams responsible for building, operating, and improving reliable, observable, and scalable systems, with a focus on delivering measurable business and engineering outcomes. My experience includes leading complex platform initiatives, improving system resilience and availability, modernising CI/CD and deployment practices, strengthening observability and incident response, and supporting teams through high-impact production challenges. I enjoy working closely with engineers on architecture, technical direction, problem-solving, and delivery while creating the clarity and ownership they need to succeed.I have a particular interest in distributed systems, platform engineering, developer productivity, and the practical use of AI across the software development lifecycle. This includes exploring AI-assisted engineering, evaluation practices, RAG systems, and agentic workflows to improve software quality, operational efficiency, and decision-making.Mentoring and developing engineers is a key part of how I lead. I’m passionate about helping people grow into independent technical leaders and have been recognised for my contribution to engineering leadership and mentorship.
