About Mpendulo Dlamini

My name is Lucas Mpendulo Dlamini, I am currently pursuing my Master of Laws (LLM) in Labour Law at the University of Cape Town. I happen to fall in love with the study of law and consequently the passion that I have for the law goes beyond its application as I always thrive to solve complex legal issues through identifying a gap in law and bridging such gap with well researched innovative measures or solutions. It is for this reason that I am currently in pursuit of a master's degree. My interest on Legal research and drafting, have played a pivotal role in the advancement of my research skills, writing skills and critical analysis skills. I am a candidate with multiple accolades demonstrating my unique and exceptional leadership skills, with an indelible interest on corporate and commercial relations. I have an unwavering commitment to constant growth, innovation and collective work. The element of inclusivity is one of my key personality traits, because I am consciously aware of that the workplace is composed of a variety of people with different backgrounds, therefore being able to participate meaningfully on a group work is significance and will revitalize the team to deliver quality service and thrive to great height on all the tasks it performs. The passion that underpins my work, serve as a background on my commitment to excellence. for the record purpose, I shall highlight the most recent evidential event where I was acknowledged as a Dean's Merit Award 2024 recipient. Moreover, the multitude of leadership roles that I have immersed myself upon during my undergraduate studies, have earned me necessary advocacy skills, preparation skills, strong communication skills and most importantly, interpersonal skills. These leadership roles and extra-mural activities include the following. Being a Human Rights Champion at the University of Zululand -(2024). Being a Student's Legal Representative at the Unizulu Disciplinary Committee -(2024). Being a Dean's Merit Award recipient -(2024). Being a Vacation Work Student at Shepstone and Wylie Attorneys -(2024). Serving as a subcommittee member of the Black Lawyers Association Student Chapter (Unizulu Branch) for Media and publicity officer -(2023). Completing a Bowmans Commercial Job Simulation -(2023). Being an academic tutor under the law department at the University of Zululand -(2023). Serving as a general secretary of Enactus Unizulu for 2 terms -(2022-2023).
