About Mrinal Ranjan

I have 4-years of clinical experience in dentistry and patient management. Beginning in 2015, we were regularly involved in oral health education camps for oral hygiene management. We also managed patients for a tobacco cessation program, health talks about identifying initial signs of oral cancer, and management; all based on evidence-based practices targeting habits that would bring about sustained change. We dealt with populations from Hebri, Karkala, and Parkala; they belonged to lower socio-economic backgrounds with minimal education, unable to afford expensive treatments once the disease developed. These screening and treatment camps that focused on preventive methods was the easiest and most cost-effective program. During my MPH Program, I've picked up skills in data management and analysis using STATA, RStudio, UCINet, Qualtrics, REDCap, and other sociological software. During my time here, I've also acquired academic research skills that include literature reviews, manuscript preparation, and other publication efforts. Specialties- Monitoring public health- Investigate, diagnose, and address risk factors to reduce morbidity and mortality- Analyze data to inform public health decisions regarding risks and exposures- Communicate effectively to inform and educate- Strengthen, support, and mobilize organizational partnerships- Enable equitable access.
