Hello! I’m Muhammad Anas, a Software Engineering graduate student at DePaul University, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. I’m passionate about leveraging technology to address real-world challenges and strive to create meaningful, innovative solutions that make a lasting impact. Currently, I’m pursuing my MS in Software Engineering, where I’ve developed strong technical skills and hands-on experience in programming, database management, and business analysis. I’m proficient in Python, Java, and SQL, and have extensive experience with relational database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. In addition to my academic work, I serve as a Grader for the Software Engineering course SE40, where I’m responsible for evaluating student assignments, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring adherence to grading rubrics. This role has sharpened my attention to detail, reinforced key software engineering principles, and deepened my understanding of teaching and learning processes in technical education. Previously, I worked as an Implementation Consultant, where I focused on minimizing disruptions and optimizing system performance by resolving P2 and P3 issues within 24 and 72 hours, respectively. I played a key role in deploying system updates, managing service requests, coordinating issue fixes, and assisting with the escalation of P1 issues to senior teams. I also contributed to database analysis and SQL optimization, while supporting UAT/SIT testing and post-Go-Live phases to ensure smooth system operations. My recent AI-focused projects include a Gymnasium Simulator and an Image Classification model using the CIFAR-10 dataset. The Gymnasium Simulator used live camera footage to detect and distinguish body structures, while the CIFAR-10 project involved training a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to accurately classify images into ten categories. Outside of my professional and academic work, I enjoy creating graphical art, exploring new coffee spots, taking long walks, and staying physically active through regular workouts.
