I am a British trained, tier one consultant Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Mediclinic hospital Al Ain and Al Jowahra Al Ain, UAE.(For Appointments call 800 Registered tier 1 Consultant Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, Department of Health Abu Dhabi, working currently as consultant and head of department, pulmonary and sleep medicine at Mediclinic Middle East, Al Ain Region Hospitals since Jan 2021. I worked as a core faculty member and chair of competency committee for IM Residents at Al Ain Hospital. Prior to moving to UAE in 2015, I worked as a lead consultant physician in Respiratory and general (Internal) medicine at Chesterfield Royal Hospital from 2012 till 2015. As a Royal College Tutor for core Medical trainees, I was closely involved in curriculum delivery for trainees who rotate through Chesterfield Royal Hospital. I have identified my main interests as thoracic oncology, Bronchiectasis, pulmonary infections specially tuberculosis and Non-tuberculous Mycobacterial infections, pleural diseases and interventional procedures. Competent at performing Bronchoscopies (Diagnostic) pleural Ultrasounds Medical Thoracoscopies and Non invasive ventilation. I am committed to providing a high quality, innovative and well organised service in respiratory medicine and general medicine. I have achieved this in my current job by developing strong professional relationships with my consultant colleagues, managers and allied health professionals. I provide a supportive environment for junior doctors under my supervision, and ensure that they receive high quality education throughout their attachments.
