About Muhammad Faisal

With over 24 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specializing in upstream operations, I have developed strong leadership skills and a continuous eagerness to learn. My expertise spans offshore and onshore logistics, marine operations, and safety management—both personnel and process safety. Since joining ExxonMobil in 2001 as part of the operations support team, I have played a key role in field logistics, supporting early production facilities operated by others (OBO) with a production rate of barrels of oil per day. From early 2013 to December 2017, I led the development of ExxonMobil’s leased supply base and oversaw marine operations in Tuban Waters, supporting the Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) unit with a 2-million-barrel storage capacity. As the Person in Charge (PIC), I managed base operations, vessel support (crew boats and supply vessels), materials handling, warehouse operations, and oil spill response preparedness. I also hold certifications from the Class Society (BKI) as an ISM Internal Auditor and Designated Person Ashore (DPA). Between 2018 and 2020, I served as HSSE Supervisor, overseeing the implementation of safety protocols for an oil production facility with a rate of barrels per day. In early 2021, I was tasked with driving ExxonMobil’s corporate Human Performance program across its Indonesian affiliates—helping workforce and management shift their safety mindset to the next level and turn the "nobody gets hurt" vision into reality. Since October 2021, I have served as Construction Heavy Equipment Supervisor, overseeing the provision of heavy equipment, complex and critical lifting operations, and rigging services for ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL). In 2022, I transitioned into a new role within the operations organization as Construction Superintendent, holding this position until 2025 and successfully completing all assigned projects. Effective April 2025, I have taken on a new offshore assignment as Offshore Installation Manager, representing EM management in overseeing offshore facility operations and ensuring the safe and efficient crude lifting process for both local and international buyers.
