About Muhammad Gulzari
My research interests are in Structural Dynamics, Applied Mechanics, Vibration, and Acoustics in particular in phononic crystals, acoustic and mechanical metamaterials in applications to acoustic and elastic wave manipulation, including guided waves for non-destructive testing and structural health monitoring and vibration and noise control applications. My research aims to investigate linear and nonlinear dynamical properties of vertically engineered structural materials so-called metamaterials. I remained an Irish Research Council-Research Fellow and received the Seal of Excellence Award from EU-Horizon MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2021. Research interests include: Acoustic/elastic metamaterials, Architected materials, Additive manufacturing, Phononic crystals, Solid mechanics, Structural dynamics, Smart materials, Vibration and acoustics, Wave propagation, Responsive, adaptive and reconfigurable materials
