I have 5 years working experience in Senior Management roles with 12 years working experience within AP.Moller Maersk Group,with 5 years international exposure.I am a positive,highly motivated person who strives to do my best.My lateral and analytical thinking ability enables me to think strategically and analytically for the best suited solution.I am a high-energy individual who enjoys a challenge.I believe that the best way to solve a problem is to be proactive so as to mitigate the problem from happening.My personality dictates a positive attitude always.I look at each challenge as an opportunity to learn and develop.I am a very strategic and proactive individual,and this has greatly enhanced my ability to deal with challenges.My motivation and focus come from my internal need to drive and deliver so that I achieve the goals that I have set.I envision the end result and plan the road to get there while powering through the obstacles that come up. In the last 4 years,Grindrod’s Denver facility has grown into the largest container facility in South Africa spanning approximately 2023,we crossed over the mark in container storage.Our warehouse has been packed over its capacity for over a year now,our mining yard is also overflowing.Our 2 year old fleet has grown to 117 trucks.We are running a multi-diverse fleet of containersed units,superlinks,drop sides,side tippers,back tippers,taut liners,etc.We possibly have the largest fleet on the N3 where you will see a Grindrod truck every 20 minutes. We are also running trucks on the N1 Limpopo to Cape Town,N2 to Richards Bay,R511 to Northam,N4 Upington to Nelspruit,N5 to Bloemfontein and surrounds,we run PE,George, EL.Grindrod Denver is one of the few container depots that operates 24/7 nationally and is the only one in Johannesburg to operate 24/7.On a typical day,the facility processes 1600 trucks.Today Grindrod Denver is almost the size of the entire Grindrod Intermodal structure in 2019. A beast of this magnitude takes a lot of time,effort,blood,sweat and tears to craft.This operation’s growth is unprecedented,and it’s taken me 4 years to build.I have hand crafted every team,every process and every part of this operation to function like a well-oiled sports engine.I have built a highly motivated,performance driven,dedicated team that’s agile,creative and thinks out of the box. I have spent of hours mentoring staff individually to bring them up to the level I need them to perform. I am a hands-on leader, and my staff know that there are no limits to what we can achieve.
