About Muhammad Saad

I am a proficient and experienced Consultant in Endocrinology & Diabetes and General Internal Medicine. My areas of expertise include management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, diabetes in pregnancy, diabetes technology including insulin pumps and hybrid closed loop systems, obesity, thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary and adrenal gland disorders, reproductive endocrinology and metabolic bone disorders. I am also highly skilled in providing acute care to patients admitted with general medical disorders. Academic excellence has been a consistent hallmark of my career, earning distinctions in three subjects during MBBS, and being awarded a gold medal for my outstanding achievements. I was nominated in trainee doctor of the year award during my higher specialist training. I have special interest in medical education and have been regularly teaching and mentoring medical students and junior doctors throughout my career. I have presented extensively at regional and national endocrine meetings and conferences in addition to presenting at local grand rounds and audit meetings. Language proficiency in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi enables me to effectively communicate with patients from diverse backgrounds, promoting patient-centered care. I have excellent leadership skills and have always received feedback of being a pleasure to work with.
