Started my career as Medical Servicemen for Pharma company Parke Davis in 1987. In 1988 I joined Unit Trust of India as Assistant. In1989 I joined United India Insurance Company as Officer. During my tenure of 34 years I have worked in all departments including Heading Branch Office and Divisional Office with following broad achievements: During my posting in Health Department at Delhi Regional Office 1 from 2010 to 2014,I was instrumental in smooth rolling out of Preferred Provider Network and 100% investigation initiative in Health. I devised protocols and formats for successful rolling out of live cashless monitoring, addressing concerns of stakeholders like Corporates, Brokers & TPAs. The above helped in reducing ICR from 130% to 90% levels. From July 2014 to June 2018 I headed DO handling major projects. I ensured prompt & Judicious settlement of claims of 2013 Uttarakhand Flood.I lead the team to ensure efficient working of DO generating substantial operating surplus in all the four years. On promotion as Chief Manager, I was selected for heading Pan India Health Claims with target of reducing persistently high ICR in band of 120 %+ to 138% and number of other challenges. I used my domain knowledge, experience of auditing more than 1 lac files and set up control mechanism to identify & leakages. With the help of team & cooperation of stake holders I was able to bring down the ICR on gross earned premium basis to 98.7% and ICR was below 99% during my tenure of two & half years. During Covid I devised and implemented business continuity plan. Participated in GI council initiative on standardization of treatment cost on Covid. I played important role in collation of data, arranging discussions, finalization of rate, negotiation with Hospitals. I was privileged to be part of IRDA Sub-Committee on Premium pricing for Health Insurance of Senior Citizens. In 2021 I joined at Delhi RO 2 as Regional manager, MACT and Legal department. With the help of my analytic skills identified reason for poor outcome and strengthened the processes using my domain knowledge set in place proper compliance mechanism. Attended certificate course on International & Domestic Commercial Arbitration organized by Indian Arbitration Center wing of FICCI. the Company as a part of KPI measure on Claims Efficiency posted me as In Charge Claims Monitoring Cell with objective of improving Claim Settlement Ratio Property LOBs. Using my analytic skill, domain knowledge I mentored and motivated team to achieve CSR of 90%+.
