About Mukesh Subedee

I am a Project Manager, Geospatial Specialist, and Coastal Modeler with over a decade of experience leading projects and teams across various sectors. My expertise spans leading enterprise GIS, hazard modeling, climate resiliency planning, and large-scale data management/analysis across public sector and academic settings. Currently, I focus on conducting complex geospatial analysis and modeling related to climate hazards and coastal change. I specialize in data-driven resiliency planning, vulnerability and risk assessments, environmental impact studies, and health equity planning, Notably, I have led significant initiatives such as supporting the development of comprehensive coastal resiliency plans and assessing the environmental and socioeconomic impacts of long-term sea level rise and storm surge flooding on the Texas coast. My work was integral to the Texas Coastal Resiliency Master Plan in both its 2019 and 2023 iteration, where I spearheaded GIS analysis and modeling efforts and contributed to geohazard mapping for present and future land-use planning. Additionally, I have successfully led environmental impact assessments due to proposed ship channel improvement projects. I am also involved in developing tailored data integration frameworks and web mapping tools for building resilience to disaster and economic risks as well as for health equity planning. Previously, my career encompassed impactful roles in GIS, remote sensing, and web mapping projects for non-profit organizations, federal agencies, and academic institutions. I have leveraged my skills to address environmental challenges not only in the US but also across Asia and Africa. I am passionate about utilizing cutting-edge geospatial technologies to address complex environmental and socioeconomic issues and am committed to driving sustainable solutions through innovative project management and analytical expertise.
