About Muneer Mather

The past 4 years teaching Life Orientation and PE in South Africa have been an incredible experience. It’s been so rewarding to guide students not only in physical education but also in areas like personal development, health, and wellness through Life Orientation. Watching them grow in confidence, resilience, and teamwork, both in and out of the classroom, has been a highlight. Each year has brought new challenges and learning opportunities, further deepening my passion for teaching and shaping the lives of young people. I was honored to receive the Best Educator award in Life Orientation in my district in 2023. This recognition means a lot to me as it reflects the impact I’ve been able to make on my students’ lives. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see how much they grow, not just physically, but also emotionally and mentally through the lessons in Life Orientation. This achievement has inspired me to continue pushing the boundaries in my teaching and to strive for even greater results in the future. I decided to take the leap and move to Saudi Arabia to teach PE, and for the past 3 months, it has been an amazing experience. The new environment, culture, and students have provided fresh challenges and opportunities that have reignited my passion for teaching. It’s been a rewarding journey so far, and I’m excited to continue growing in this new chapter of my career.
