About Murad Hasanli

I’m a final-year BSc Business & Management student at the University of York, having completed my industrial placement at HalalBooking — a UK-based travel-tech OTA serving over 500 k accommodations with a focus on halal-friendly travel — where I now continue to work part-time alongside my studies.During my placement, I managed a hotel portfolio across the GCC region that generated more than £5 million in destination sales. I also worked closely with the engineering team on data-mapping and pricing integrations, and met regularly with partner hotels to plan promotions and keep our rates competitive. My previous experience includes internships with PwC (Assurance) and Deloitte (Risk Advisory) in Baku, where I supported audit fieldwork for public-sector and financial clients and helped standardise fixed-asset records to improve data accuracy.Recognised by senior colleagues for my attention to detail, analytical approach, and professionalism, I’m passionate about applying these skills in a graduate-level finance or consulting role — ideally in a position where I can combine analysis, problem-solving, and client collaboration.
