About Murat Okkali

It has been 30 years since I saw a plastic cap manufacturing line for the first time. Back then, them machines were not engineering marvels but the ingenious idea of processing caps and the harmony of synchronized motions created by different physical forces were enough to amaze and captivate a young curious novice who was looking for his direction and passion. Having gained more awareness of attributes like non-stop learning and analytical thinking, and understanding what mechanical Engineering really means have simply transformed my career. Within the first decade I became a specialist who helps plastic cap manufacturing companies improve efficiency and reduce maintenance/breakdown cost of their automated assembling equipment. Subsequently, I worked with world leading companies and been to more than 50 production facilities around the world for machine installations, technical supports, troubleshooting and projects. I have a huge archive of information, documents and visuals related to the technical issues I have experienced over the years. I have acquired extensive experience with Compression moulders, slitters, lining machines, wadders, rotary/linear assemblers and printers manufactured by worldwide brands like Sacmi, PSG, Eckel & Sohn, Tampoprint, CST (IMA), MMC, Lamfi, Bortelinkemo, Damatic, Proyegma, Desiro, CMS and many others that most engineers never heard of. Not only that, I was very lucky to see even the prototypes of today's advanced cap processing machines. Additionally, I successfully completed courses such as SPC, Lean manufacturing, Crown WCM, ISO14001, HACCP, TPM and other work-related ones ( Control vision systems, Festo didactic, Capping equipment, Time management, 5S, Problem solving techniques, Laser printing and Working safely). Since 2012, I have been designing and developing assemblies & auxiliaries for the plastic cap industry (Autodesk Inventor). I simply love it and I regret for not starting much earlier. Combining years of on site practical experience and all the engineering techniques that I used or witnessed in different countries have always given me the confidence before I start thinking of any disruptive/innovative design. We all know that working with right people creates fascinating results. I have been so lucky to work with great people from tens of different cultures, they not only improved me in self-confidence and engineering, they also taught me professionalism. Today after three decades of incredible journey in closure manufacturing, I still do my job with the same passion and learn something new daily.
