With over a decade of experience in leading and mentoring teams, she is a seasoned professional in managing sales, marketing, reservations, and events professionals for major groups, as well as multiple weddings and social programs. Her exceptional expertise was honed through her outstanding leadership roles at Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, and the Ritz-Carlton Resort & Spa Resorts just to name a few. Throughout her illustrious career, Mureen has racked up an impressive list of accomplishments. As Executive Director of Devon House Development Limited, she consistently exceeded annual budgets and goals. She also led the successful pre-opening of the Sales and Marketing department for the Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall in 2014, earning the prestigious Magellan Awards Gold for the Hotel's Grand Opening. Her efforts culminated in the Hyatt Ziva & Zilara being named Jamaica's Leading Conference Hotel in 2019. Additionally, as an executive committee member for six years at Hyatt Ziva & Zilara, she achieved hotel Gross Operating Profits every year, cementing her reputation as a true industry leader. Currently, Mureen serves as the Interim General Manager of the Montego Bay Convention Centre, where she is the driving force behind the organization's thriving culture of excellence. Her boundless energy and exceptional leadership skills enable her to foster an environment where individuals are inspired to perform at the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
