About Murielle Joseph

I am a hard working, attentive, and organized individual with the goal of making sure everyone is living up to their potential, getting the attention and needs that they deserve. I also enjoy studying behaviors and habits of people living within our societal structure and learning about why we do the things that we do. I also learn more about this by understanding and observing political and social climates that affect each individuals basic necessities and how that are able to operate throughout our society. The core of my passion is through education, community, and equality. I desire to battle the inequalities and disparities that many children in the United States face during their time in school and in their communities. I plan on doing this work through participation in non-profit work, and furthering my education by pursuing a masters degree in educational/career counseling. The end goal by pursuing this degree would hopefully lead to having a career as a family counselor, or working as such in the most needed high schools as a school counselor. I do also want to continue my passion for business that I had during my time in college and pursue Masters of Business Administration later on so I will have the opportunity reach into the development of communities and the impact businesses have that could either make or break the community's ability to thrive. I believe this can be tackled by working with businesses to adapt to the needs of the community and provide those living there with the best opportunities available. I do only fluently speak English, but I have pursued further studies in Spanish and I am at an intermediate level. My experience living in a pre-dominately Spanish speaking area of Miami for a year and traveling now brings me to being able to hold some conversations in Spanish. I do spend my time outside of my passions playing the violin.
