Throughout my career, the common theme has been supporting Ontarians and ensuring they have the services and programs needed to support themselves and their families. This began with my involvement in electoral politics and included my time as a Constituency Assistant for a MPP, involvement with NGOs, not-for-profits, the private sector and Ontario Public Service. As Service Delivery Manager, I work closely with my team to build relationships with new partners and the community as part of our Community Development Work – including helping to build new labour market programs to support Ontarians. As Issues Manager, my role has been to be successful in managing and responding to highly visible, complex and sensitive issues – such as strikes, auditor general reports, OSAP funding reductions and transformation of employment and training services.
