About Mwansa Mwango

As a district water development officer at the Ministry of water development and sanitation, I work with various stakeholders to plan, implement, and monitor water supply and sanitation projects in rural and urban areas. I apply my civil engineering skills and knowledge to design, supervise, and evaluate the construction and maintenance of water infrastructure, ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability. Before joining the ministry, I was a site engineer at SUSCON Construction Solutions Limited, where I led the construction of three mini hospitals in Eastern, Copperbelt and Muchinga provinces, working with sub-contractors, staff, and clients to deliver the projects on time and within budget. I also gained valuable experience as a quality control supervisor at LGP, overseeing the construction of residential estates in Luano City. I have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Belgorod Shukhov State Technology University, and I am a certified member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia. I am passionate about improving the access and quality of water and sanitation services for the people of Zambia, and I strive to innovate and excel in my field.
