About Myla Moore

I am an experienced software engineer with expansive capabilities in data science. In 2021, I completed my Masters in Analytics at Louisiana State University. A year prior, I graduated with dual undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. Through my education, I have become effective at building algorithms, learning how to extract meaning from data through modeling and pipelining, and mastered many more technical skills that have proven to be competitive in my previous roles. I am grateful to have made an impact in my tech roles across multiple industries, including at organizations like IBM, Louisiana State University, and Nike-of which I had the opportunity to lead a team of interns during a 48 hour Hackathon and present the app we built during that time to Nike’s CTO. These experiences have led me to become proficient in Java, Javascript, SQL, Python, data wrangling in R, big data processing in Spark and pipelining with Hadoop, and all things machine learning. Outside of my capabilities, my peers would likely describe me as being a barrier-breaker, leader, and adventurer. I love tennis and hiking, and believe one of the greatest joys in life is connecting with people and valuing our differences. I am excited to bring an exciting, collaborative energy to every project and team that I join in the future.
