About Myles Henderson

As a recent University of Central Florida alumnus with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology specializing in Exercise and Sport Physiology, I bring a deep understanding of human performance, clinical systems, and community health to every setting I work in. Currently, I serve as the Lead Clinical Operations Assistant at Shepherd’s Hope, where I coordinate patient flow, manage volunteer scheduling, and oversee the accuracy of clinical documentation through EPIC EMR. In this role, I’ve led efforts to optimize data integrity, streamline provider communication, and enhance operational efficiency across multiple free clinic sites serving uninsured patients throughout Central Florida. My background in research and neuroscience has further shaped my approach to healthcare. As a former Undergraduate Research Assistant within UCF’s Cognition, Neuroplasticity, and Sarcopenia (CNS), Blood Flow Restriction (BFR), and Exercise Physiology, Intervention, and Collaboration (EPIC) Laboratories, I contributed to interdisciplinary studies examining neuromuscular adaptation, blood flow restriction training, and the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying muscle recovery and motor control. From observing over 60 surgeries at Sand Lake Surgery Center to volunteering in both community and veteran healthcare settings, my experiences have strengthened my commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based medicine. I am passionate about advancing equitable access to healthcare and exploring how exercise science, neuroscience, and clinical innovation can converge to improve patient outcomes.
