About Myles Mitchell

Hello, my name is Myles Mitchell. I grew up on a farm in central Illinois where my family farms 5200 acres of corn and soybeans. The family farm is something I take great pride in as 7 generations of Mitchell's have farmed the same ground since 1848. I have learned many valuable life lessons while growing up on the farm. I have developed some great qualities through my experiences, for example; the ability to adapt and overcome when problems are presented, patience, competitive advantage, leadership qualities and most importantly, a strong work-ethic. I am now a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh majoring in Supply Chain Management with two separate certificates in Sales and Entrepreneurship. I came to school in Oshkosh in the fall of 2020 where I played baseball my freshman year. After the spring of 2021, I decided to focus on my education and start the search for a job. During the summer of 2022 I participated in a financial planning internship with Northwestern Mutual where I got to learn about the importance of personal financials and customer relations. I was then blessed to be hired at Scheels in Appleton, Wisconsin as a part-time sales associate where I am currently still employed. Working at Scheels has made me passionate in sales. I would have never thought that I wanted to go into sales, but then I learned how much I enjoy problem solving and working with people every day. I look forward to entering the professional business world and am excited for what the future holds!
