About Myron Yap

My name is Myron O. Yap. I am from Miami, Florida and I am the youngest child for my father and the second oldest for my mother. Growing up I was always interested in computers. When I was about 13 years old, I taught myself how computers function from the saving to loading information. As I grew older, my interest peaked even more when DirecTv (Satellite TV) came out. For educational purposes, I taught myself how to reprogram a DirecTv card chip. It was at that moment I knew I had a passion for computers and technology. I am currently attending Keiser University for Cybersecurity with the end goal of becoming a Cybersecurity Analyst. I was presented with the Keiser University President’s Award on September 2019 by the Keiser University Fort Myers Campus President. I have a Degree of Associate of Science in Health Science, Suuma Cum Laude from Kaplan University October 2013. I recently obtained my Degree of Associate of Science in Information Technology, High Honors August 2020. I earned my basic certification for hardware and software, CompTIA A+ in 2019. As I continue my journey through the Cybersecurity program, I am studying for my Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification. I have been truly blessed to be with a great university that have great professors to help guide me through my chosen profession.
