About Naathier Gamieldien

PGCE graduate majoring in Business Studies, Physical Education, Life Orientation and Health and Personal Development. Currently practicing in my eleventh year of secondary teaching. Previously held the position of Head of Sport and teacher of Physical Education and Business Studies, before moving to the Middle East to broaden my experience and knowledge. I am currently in my sixth year at South Peninsula High School (S.P.) as a teacher of Business Studies and Economics, fulfilling the secondary role of assistant Sport Coordinator and actively coaching rugby, cricket and athletics. Graduate of Sport Management Sciences (Bachelors degree) with experience in industries such as Sport Recreation and Leisure, Tourism, Retail, Sales and Customer Service. I have completed an international teaching stint with Newton International School, Doha, teaching Business Studies at IGCSE and International Advanced Level (UK curriculum) as well as Economics, Physical Education and ICT, coupled with two years of experience working as a Sport Development Manager for the City of Westminster Sport Council, London, U.K. My unwavering commitment to schools sport development among youth children and adults have been evident, recognised and proven throughout my teaching career. I believe the effort made to pave the way for young children to participate in sport is important in shaping their emotional, physical and social development. As an innovative fitness and conditioning trainer for young children in my own private capacity, my aim is to create a passion for active lifestyles, which will in turn teach discipline, patience and the love for sport and healthy living.
