About Nabil Loghin

Technology analyst: scouting early stage startups, academic research and new technology trends, complementary for Sony R&D and business. Specialist in wireless and wired communication systems design with several years of experience in the broadcasting industry. Both theory and software simulation based R&D, strategic planning of new innovations, and active contributions to standardization. In addition, several years of experience with algorithm design for digital demodulators for broadcasting. Studied Electrical Engineering at University of Stuttgart, Germany, with focus on telecommunications. Received Diploma in 2004 and PhD in 2009, both "With Honors". Since 2009, with Sony R&D center in Stuttgart, and spending 2.5 years working for Sony in Tokyo and Atsugi, Japan. Have been actively involved in the standardization of WLAN, LPWA and various broadcast systems: DVB-C2, DVB-NGH, DVB-S2x, and ATSC 3.0. Strong background on PHY layer telecommunications (channel coding, MIMO technology, signal processing.) and long experience with software development with Matlab / Simulink, C, C++.
