About Nace Plesko

I believe in the power of continuous learning and humility. I approach everything I do with curiosity and enjoyment and I love breaking down complex problems into smaller, manageable pieces both in my professional and personal life. While pursuing my double major in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Virginia, I competed in D1 Track and Field as a shot put and discus thrower. In 2017, I was part of one of the best throws teams in NCAA history. As a teaching assistant, I sharpened my core data structures and interpersonal skills, and ultimately graduated with distinction while receiving the award for the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA.Lucky enough to join a team of senior and lead software engineers after graduation, I worked on a robotic process automation platform using Spring, Java, Groovy, Maven, and Jenkins. The team enforced best practices from the start which helped me develop a solid foundation for professional software development.Later, I joined a San Francisco startup working on a platform for easier Salesforce management using NodeJS, Typescript and React. After being unlucky in the work visa lottery, I chose to resign and leave the US and am currently based in Slovenia, open to worldwide remote opportunities. Let's connect!
