About Nadeem Eldhuieb

My name is Nadim ALthweib, I am a Palestinian engineer with 12 years of experience in BIM, design visualization, coordination, collaboration, and digital engineering programming. I started my BIM career in multiple mega-infrastructure projects which gave me solid experience in project collaboration, delivery, and data exchange. Right after my graduation, I started working in Palestine, but quickly developed a more global approach to where I wanted BIM to take me, and since then I have had the opportunity to gain experience from various places around the world. In the GCC, I have contributed in developing BIM standards, methods and procedures for EPSO office (Engineering, Procurement and Support office) as well as laying down the BIM to FM guidelines and implementation for Abu Dhabi Midfield terminal project and ADNOC Abu Dhabi Headquarter project; in North Africa, I have contributed in project collaboration and coordination for Sheikh Khalifa hospital in Morocco Casablanca; and finally, part of my roles and responsibilities were to deliver BIM training and mentoring for which took me to Greece and Egypt BIM centers, where I trained more than 45 engineers on advanced techniques for using BIM in drawing extraction. Furthermore, the nature of my work has given me the opportunity to experience the impact of BIM through the whole lifecycle of the building, starting from design, going through construction phases, handover phases, until finally implementing BIM in operations of facility management integrated with IoT. It has been a challenging yet rewarding path that has made me invest in constantly strengthening my skills and my knowledge in this rapidly progressing field. Today, I am certified in RICS BIM demonstrating a holistic understanding of BIM procedures including the development of BIM standards, creating BEPs and EIRs, collaborating with design teams to put forward project-specific implementation strategies, ensuring QA procedure to maintain the adherence of modeling practices and information workflows to the requirements. I am also a YouBIM Certified Consultant concerning both theory and practice in facility management and operation for BIM implementation. I have developed proficient skills in various software environments, being certified in Revit, and specialized in Bentley Software (AECOsim Microstation, ProjectWise, LumenRT, etc) with over 430 learning unit certificates allowing me to undertake the training of a BIM team in modeling, drawing extraction, interoperability, and the implementation of BIM workflows and standards.
