Background
About Nadia Kyba
Hi there! Nice to meet you. As the founder and president of Now What Facilitation Inc, I take pride in leading a diverse group of subject matter experts in offering a variety of services designed to help organizations simplify their work by enhancing their efficacy. This is achieved through policy reviews, individual conflict coaching, interviewing skill building, complaints management reviews and training, team building workshops, and facilitated decision-making meetings aimed at resolving specific issues. I have been working in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution for over 20 years. Within the Provincial Child Welfare system, I was a Practice Consultant designing and facilitating Collaborative Decision Making Meetings. My passion for training and conflict management led me to design and facilitate workshops for business organizations, sports associations and not-for-profits to address individual and group conflict. I am an associate trainer with the Forensic Practice where I train Social Workers and Law Enforcement professionals in complaints management and investigative Interviewing. My specializations include conflict management, facilitation, consultation and course instruction. I am an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia's School of Social Work where I teach social workers about to enter the field in a variety of sectors. My approach is grounded in strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally agile practices. I prioritize fostering relationships at the core of team building efforts, recognizing its significance in leadership. With considerable experience collaborating with Indigenous communities, I consider active reconciliation a foundational value in my work. I have published This is How We Roll a series of books to help your team manage conflict including: THIS IS HOW WE ROLL: A Coaches Guide to Transforming Conflict into High Performance THIS IS HOW WE ROLL: Team Building through Conflict Management in Sport and THIS IS HOW WE ROLL: Team Building through Conflict Management in the Workplace and my most recent workbook: This is How We Roll a Guide to Complaints Management. I am a lifelong athlete and have a deep love of sport. I believe a positive experience in organized sport provides children, youth and adults the opportunity to have experiences impacting all areas of their life. I am proud to be a named expert with the US Anti-Doping Agency True Sport program and the Safe Sport Safeguarding Liaison with viaSport British Columbia.
