About Nahanni Freeman

I am interested in inter-disciplinary collaboration, particularly in the area of empirical research relevant to the social sciences as they intersect with other disciplines, as well as collaborations pertinent to theoretical research writing and educational endeavors. Major professional goals include the ongoing development of my knowledge in research and clinical ethics, statistical analyses, research methods, and professional academic writing. Long-term goals that I may possibly entertain include entrepreneurial interests, such as creating a non-profit educational institute, which focuses on inter-disciplinary integration of psychology, theology, philosophy, aesthetics, behavioral neuroscience, and the arts, with a special focus on expressive psychotherapies (music and art therapy, therapeutic performing arts, natural-environment retreats, therapeutic creative writing). In addition, I have an interest in continuing to lead students on academic travel. I had led three academic travel trips with college students, and have long held the goal of working in Europe as a lecturer/ tour guide for American students. Lastly, one of my professional goals is to design an academician's guild, with a focus on democratic power structures, creative collaborations, and writings / projects pertinent to academic freedom. I am interested in psychological investigations of creativity, gender, and spirituality.
