About Naiera Zayed
After earning a MSc degree in pharmaceutical sciences (microbiology & immunology speciality), I joined periodontology & oral microbiology research group, KU Leuven, Belgium, as a PhD researcher. As a pharmacist, a microbiologist, and a researcher, I combine all the knowledge for investigating novel approches for oral microbiome ecological modulation. After obtaining my PhD degree, I continue working as a postdoctoral researcher in the EU-funded project NOMAD, on developing next-generation smart dental implants.
