Endeavoring to start my own company in the year 2010, I had known the risk but had not fully comprehended what the journey would entail. Over the years, experiences have presented themselves liberally, and I have had the opportunity to soak in a world full of knowledge from different industries, leaders and time periods. My interaction with people of such vibrant backgrounds has not only helped expand my worldview, but has also chiseled me into a more spontaneous individual. I feel fortunate to have begun my career by selling door-to-door home insurance at ICICI Lombard. Marketing begins with a gentle knock on the door, is what I had learnt as a young man – and what sustains it, is your ability to talk, convince and sell. The year was 2005, and I had taken up this temporary position (of selling Home Insurance & Credit Cards) to help uplift my chances of employment. My portfolio soon expanded into working as a Retail Promoter for V5 Global Services, at an HP Exclusive Store. In my stint of four years at V5 Global, I had instituted and headed the BTL division at the firm, which soon progressed to organize around 300-400 events annually. At that point, I realized that I could, with help from the right personnel and vendors, create experiences for my clients like none other. I thus, moved out of V5, and founded Momentum in the year 2010. I began Momentum with the belief that effective marketing ideas emanate from understanding the client’s business and its pain points, thus staying harmoniously in sync with the ground truth. We have handled marketing for more than 25 marquee clients since the founding of Momentum. These include companies such as Samsung, JBL, Vivo, WD, HP, AMD, Canon, SanDisk, GoDaddy, Epson, Whirlpool, Wacom, Pizza Hut, KFC and ONGC among others. Without the intent of sounding clichéd, I would like to add that I love to challenge my own limits and abilities every day. To me, luxury is great but comfort can be boring. Complacence can be one’s biggest deterrent. For that reason, what started as a BTL agency is gradually evolving into an integrated full-service agency. We now help our clients with Influencer Marketing, Social Media, eCommerce Marketing, Film Production, Content Marketing; in addition to Design and BTL services. Sooner rather than later, I aim to develop a comprehensive, all-inclusive marketing solutions’ firm that can address all marketing-related challenges of our clients. I also welcome like-minded firms and individuals who wish to partner with us in our endeavour to take marketing to the next level.
