About Najaa Young
I have worked in the arts for over 25 years as a writer, director and arts administrator. In 2009 I co-founded NaRa Films, LLC with Rasheed Jihad. NaRa Films was an independent film company specializing in both documentary and narrative films that tackle issues from a unique perspective not often explored in popular culture. In 2014 we released the feature film,"Blood First," which is available on iTunes, Amazon.com, Googleplay and Xbox Live. Currently, I’m the owner/operator of Orunmila’s Daughter where potential clients may learn about the various creative services that I offer, as well as purchase prints of my fine art photography. I specialize in producing independent films, arts administration, screenwriting, directing, arts education and programming, creative fundraising for artists, arts consulting, copy editing and filmmaking instruction.
