About Najiyyah Covington

As an occupational therapist I have over 12 years of experience in various practice settings. My primary role as an occupational therapist is to complete evaluations, develop treatment plans, implement interventions, communicate progress with family and staff members, and grade activities in order to allow clients to reach a level of success that increases their independence in their environment. I have experience in pediatrics (outpatient, inpatient and school settings), adults (community dwelling, outpatient, inpatient), Spinal Cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injuries, Neurological Disorders, Upper extremity impairments, and Rehab Department Management. My current education experience includes a PhD in Occupational therapy, Masters of Occupational Therapy, and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Alcohol and Drug Studies.
