About Nancy Danielle Rahajason

It all started with a walk in a rural village of Madagascar. A midwife in rural Madagascar was explaining how she walked for hours each week to reach women who couldn’t make it to the health center. She wasn’t just delivering care, she was building trust, one village at a time. That moment stayed with me. It reminded me that real health systems change doesn’t just happen in boardrooms or strategy documents, it happens in relationships, routines, and resilient communities. For over 10 years, I’ve worked at the crossroads of policy and practice, leading programs that strengthen health systems and expand access to family planning, maternal, newborn, and child health services. As a public health technical advisor and program leader, I’ve collaborated with Ministries of Health, USG donors, private sector providers, and local partners across Africa and the United States to deliver results that are both strategic and human-centered. Whether I’m overseeing an $7Mon multi-country initiative, designing a regional learning exchange, or helping a private clinic navigate national reporting systems, I bring the same core values to my work: partnership, clarity, and compassion. I believe in co-creation over prescription. I believe data tells a story but only if you know how to listen. And I believe that innovation doesn’t always mean something new, it often means doing the basics better, together. Now, I’m focused on what's next: supporting systems that not only respond to health needs but anticipate them. I'm especially passionate about bridging public-private gap working with communities at the grassroot level and designing solutions that last beyond the project cycle.
