About Nancy Duncan

I am an experienced registered nurse professional with a diverse nursing background in an acute health care setting with extensive experience in staff development/education and graduated/ hold a current RHIA Certification in Health Information Administration. I feel that my past experiences as a manager and experiences as an educator with staff development role, responsibilities of curriculum design, and educational program development will contribute to the skills needed for the expanded role of a health information management (HIM) professional. Current experience is as a claims review specialist and various types of audit review for billing compliance, and reimbursement as well as for provider/patient appeal processes has contributed to our patient's satisfiaction. Having the opportunity and privilege to participate in ongoing education not only for myself but also being part of others skill development to render best care practices has always been my passion. As a new career continually evolves and takes shape; I am ready for new challenges, adapt easily to change and most importantly want to continue to positively influence the outcomes of my patients. I love my career as a nurse clinical auditor and feel blessed with this career opportunity to continue to serve our patients with pride and still make a difference.
