About Nancy Frankie

I am the Former Director of the Victim Witness Unit for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. I earned my Bachelors Degree in the Administration of Justice with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University and a certificate in Paralegal Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I spent my first 2 years in the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office as an advocate for the Victim Witness Unit, I carried my responsibilities for the next 15 years as a paralegal within the trial section of the Prosecutor’s Office, continued for 2 more years in the Computer Crimes Investigative Unit before taking on the responsibility as the Director of the Victim Witness Unit in April 2013. Over the course of my career, I have worked with victims ranging from thefts, burglaries, robberies, kidnappings, domestic violence, sexual assault, juvenile crimes, vehicular homicides and homicides. I have assisted victims throughout every stage of the criminal justice process. The Victim Witness Unit provides services in accordance with the New Jersey Crime Victim’s Bill of Rights N.J.S.A. 52:4B—36 to assist victims from the initial phases of arrest and prosecution to the final outcome of a case including the parole process or Krol review. It is the responsibility of the Director to oversee the unit of seven Victim-Witness Advocates, three clerical staff and several interns to ensure they are providing information and support about victim/witness services.
