About Nancy Herro

I have over 30 years of experience with smaller non-profit organizations. I have worked with staffs of 10 or less employees including leadership roles with ARTREACH Milwaukee and the Washington County Fair Park, as well as the Milwaukee Choral Artists and PianoArts through my company, Sostenendo Arts Management. I am now delighted to lead CIVIC MUSIC MKE. Because of my positions with smaller organizations, my work has ranged from finance and organizational development to marketing and fundraising to event/concert planning and execution. I suppose that I am a "jack of all trades."​ And I don't mind also being a ".master of none." If we think we have mastered something, we throttle back on our curiosity. I'm a quick study with regard to the big picture and all of its moving parts. And I am willing to jump in and tackle all that needs to be done to be successful. Several of my latter positions have been about beginning from scratch to create or enhance smaller organizational structures or programs. I especially appreciate working as a member of a team that has the same vision of the finish line - even when there are multiple paths to get there. Being open to those other paths is where we learn and grow.
