About Nancy Lawrence

I am an artist who enjoys creating works in all mediums. The majority of my work is in oil and acrylic but I also enjoy charcoal and pastel. I started dabbling in art while our family was living in Canada. We ended up here in Chicago where I studied at River Art School in Algonquin, Il. After a stay at a local art group, friends and I branched out to form our own group of people who paint from joy, light and love and preferred not to deal with the structure of an organized group. I exhibit with Artistic Journeys in McHenry, Lake, and Kane county area. Our exhibits have been seen at Wool Street Grill, Barrington, Hoffman Estates Village Hall, Hoffman Estates, Il, Honey Hills Coffee Shop, Wacounda, Il, Crabtree Nature Preserve, Barrington, Il, The Barrington Library, Barrington, Il, The Garlands of Barrington, Barrington, Il, The Barrington White House, Barrington, Il. I try to add to the awareness of this little known but most painful facial nerve condition known to man and hopefully helping to find a cure in the near future. It affects the 5th cranial nerve in the face. I became a Toastmaster, because I had a lot to say about this condition. I wanted to spread awareness to as many people as possible by speaking about this debilitating condition.
