About Nancy Liebler

I have served in private practice as a psychotherapist since 1981. Previously, I served as Director of Training at the Oakland University Counseling Center in Rochester, Michigan, and as a professor at the Michigan School of Professional Psychology in Farmington Hills, Michigan. I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and the Michigan Psychological Association. I'm also a board member of the David Lynch Foundation, committed to the establishment of stress-free schools. I graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, and received an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Wayne State University in Detroit and a Specialist Degree in Humanistic and Educational Psychology from the Center for Humanistic Studies, also in Detroit. I was awarded a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology by the Union Institute, Cincinnati, Ohio. Additionally, I am an avid student of Ayurveda and studied the principles of Ayurveda at the Oakwood Hospital Center for Alternative and Complementary Medicine in Westland, Michigan. I served on the board of the Center for Enlightened Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and speak frequently about Ayurveda and health care, and have appeared on numerous television and radio programs to discuss Ayurvedic health principles and the utilization of Mind-Body Medicine to treat and prevent depression.
