When I see you're at a meeting, I know things will get done, especially if you're facilitating" was repeatedly told to me over the last ten years. Especially as a virtual employee, organization and communication were key to productive meetings. Every invitation I sent had an Objective, Deliverable and Agenda to prepare invitees for meeting content and discussion. This proved invaluable as did having expertise in system deployment, process and policy development and consideration for end users. My approach resulted from significant education and experience that has honed my ability to facilitate communication between technical teams and functional users, allowing both to understand the others perspective. Once that understanding is gained and I understand the issues, I investigate the scenarios, perform analysis, present options and make recommendations in written and presentation form.
